If you love photography, and have always wanted to learn to take better pictures, consider taking one of my classes at Carroll Community College in Westminster, MD! I will be teaching two classes starting in the Fall (registration will be starting soon!)

Beyond the Snapshot – Point! Shoot! And Presto!…great pictures! Or so you thought. Operating your camera was supposed be easy, but you need help. Learn the difference between the Auto and Program settings and why the photo turned out too dark. Examples of everyday photo situations are given to show how to use the automatic settings. Bring your digital camera and manual to this hands-on class.

Instructor: Christopher Ammann
Cost: $79
Tues., Sept 25th – Oct. 18th, 7:00 – 9:00 PM (4 sessions)
Washington Road Campus, Rm. T317

Mimicking the Masters – From Ansel Adams to Margaret Bourke-White, the “Masters of Photography” paved the way for photography to be viewed as an art form. These photographers have left their mark with images which have stood the test of time. In this course, students will learn from the Masters by analyzing their composition, techniques, and style, and use this knowledge to create photographs which are inspired by the photographers of the past. Course requires the use of a digital camera, and knowledge of basic photographic terms, functions.

Instructor: Christopher Ammann
Cost: $79
Thurs., Nov. 3rd – Dec. 1st, 7:00 – 9:00 PM (4 sessions – No Thanksgiving Class)
